Dr. Yasser Rodriguez, MD

Cardiac Electrophysiologist | Author | Educator | AFib Specialist

Dr. Yasser Rodriguez is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist dedicated to advancing the treatment and understanding of heart rhythm disorders, with a particular focus on atrial fibrillation (AFib). He is the creator of Fight AFib, an educational platform and YouTube channel designed to help patients better understand AFib, modern treatment options, and the science behind heart rhythm care.

Dr. Rodriguez completed advanced medical training at Harvard, where he developed a strong foundation in cardiovascular medicine and electrophysiology. Throughout his career he has been deeply involved in academic medicine and research, contributing more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications, book chapters, and scholarly articles focused on cardiovascular disease and cardiac rhythm disorders.

Clinically, Dr. Rodriguez specializes in complex catheter ablation procedures, particularly for atrial fibrillation. He is recognized as an early adopter and pioneer of fluoroless ablation techniques, which allow many electrophysiology procedures to be performed with little to no X-ray exposure. His work in this area reflects a broader commitment to improving both the safety and precision of modern electrophysiology procedures.

Through FightAFib.com and his YouTube channel, Dr. Rodriguez brings evidence-based cardiovascular education directly to the public. His mission is to translate complex electrophysiology concepts into clear, practical information that empowers patients to better understand their heart health and make informed decisions about AFib treatment.

By combining clinical expertise, academic scholarship, and modern digital education, Dr. Rodriguez aims to help people around the world better understand, manage, and ultimately fight atrial fibrillation.

“Your heart works for you every second of your life. Taking care of it means paying attention to the choices you make every day — from the quality of your sleep and the food you eat, to how you manage stress and protect your cardiovascular health. Small decisions, made consistently, can have a powerful impact on your heart rhythm and your long-term health.”
